Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What type of church is Mount Helena?
A: Mount Helena Community Church is a contemporary, Biblical church communicating the Bible in a creative, compelling, and relevant way. The life and heart of MHCC can be summed up in a single phrase: Lifting Others Up! That’s our vision, our motto, our passion.

We want to assist people in their search for God and to build a real community of people committed to one another and to God. The people of Mount Helena are also passionate about being involved in and serving their local community and putting the Words of Jesus into action.

We are a non-denominational, independent church, which means:

  • We choose our own staff.
  • We own our building and assets.
  • We determine our ministries and programs.
  • We select our missionaries and the outreach programs to support.

However, even though we are an independent church, we believe in the importance of relationship and accountability, which is why Mount Helena Community Church belongs to LifeLinks. LifeLinks provides oversight and enables us to form strong, intentional relationships with other like-minded churches. In addition, we also have many close relationships with other churches in the Helena area.
